PC (and console) gaming has always been a part of my life when I was growing up, but the first game I can remember playing was an old combat Flight-SIM, MiG-29 Fulcrum.
That game came out for MS-DOS right about when I was born. My uncle (who loves old computer War-SIMS) introduced it to me when I was about four or five, and I dove right in (though some may say, not extremely successfully).
It was also during that same period that one of my favorite games back then had just been released -- MEGARACE on MS-DOS!
This time, it was my older brother who introduced me to the game, and I still think it's amazingly awesome, to this day. Of course there were many others, such as my mother's old favorite, McMurphy's Mansion, a text-only puzzle/mystery shareware game released in 1984 (that I played off the original 5.25 disk), as well as King's Quest V, which I didn't really understand how to play (though I was five/six at that point, so I had a right not to).
However, it wasn't until Westwood's Command and Conquer series (Red Alert 1 and 2), that I truly started considering myself a "gamer".
With RA2 especially, gaming turned into something of a passion for me. I soon saved and bought my own computer (at age 11/12 - with birthday/Christmas money saved over many years), and with its purchase came included a familiar game to some here: Battlefield 1942. It was with this game that I got one of my first tastes of FPS - and I was hooked!
Following that, my love of gaming has only grown over the years, with various FPS/RTS/RPGs leading up to where I find myself today -- still an avid PC gamer, even now in my college years!
(Oh, and thanks to anyone who read this whole thing... I know it's a little longer than most
