Your first PC game

i really cant remember oregon trail 2 much, but i do remember playin that. what i do remember playin alot of (which i wish some1 made into an emulator) was the olympic games from the old apple days (when i was in middle skool in shop class we would ABUSE the heck outta the left & right arrow keys every single skool day & still managed to get stuff done in shop class) man talk bout some good ol days!! hehe pc-wise, if u consider solitare a pc game, then that was my 1st game (mom got me into that), other than that id have 2 say wolfenstein 3d (just looked it up & says it came out back in '92 so gotta be that game) & interestin thing is never fully completed w3d.

The very first PC game was Leisure Suit Larry Laffer from Sierra On-Line, in one 5.25" diskette. AH! The good old days, when you only needed a three files MS-DOS, 640 Kbytes of RAM (or less), a monochrome monitor...

First game I ever played, and you could build up your stats after each fight.

Wolfenstien 3D, Doom and Duke Nukem. Startin' it off the violent way.

PC (and console) gaming has always been a part of my life when I was growing up, but the first game I can remember playing was an old combat Flight-SIM, MiG-29 Fulcrum.

That game came out for MS-DOS right about when I was born. My uncle (who loves old computer War-SIMS) introduced it to me when I was about four or five, and I dove right in (though some may say, not extremely successfully).

It was also during that same period that one of my favorite games back then had just been released -- MEGARACE on MS-DOS!

This time, it was my older brother who introduced me to the game, and I still think it's amazingly awesome, to this day. Of course there were many others, such as my mother's old favorite, McMurphy's Mansion, a text-only puzzle/mystery shareware game released in 1984 (that I played off the original 5.25 disk), as well as King's Quest V, which I didn't really understand how to play (though I was five/six at that point, so I had a right not to).

However, it wasn't until Westwood's Command and Conquer series (Red Alert 1 and 2), that I truly started considering myself a "gamer".

With RA2 especially, gaming turned into something of a passion for me. I soon saved and bought my own computer (at age 11/12 - with birthday/Christmas money saved over many years), and with its purchase came included a familiar game to some here: Battlefield 1942. It was with this game that I got one of my first tastes of FPS - and I was hooked!

Following that, my love of gaming has only grown over the years, with various FPS/RTS/RPGs leading up to where I find myself today -- still an avid PC gamer, even now in my college years!

(Oh, and thanks to anyone who read this whole thing... I know it's a little longer than most ;))

Total Annihilation :)...My first online game was UT2k4

Total Annihilation was a totally awesome game. I want to play it again.

My first computer was an Apple IIc and it came with some demo disks to teach you how to use the computer. Included were the first two games I ever played: Apple 21, which was a blackjack game, and Lemonade Stand where you run a lemonade stand. Lode Runner, Captain Goodnight, cribbage and Wings of Fury were my favorite games on that computer.

Oregon Trail - TRS80 goodness

Commadore 64 - Ultimate Wizard (http://www.lemon64.com/?mainurl=http://www.lemon64.com/reviews/view.php?id=163)

Whoever mentioned any of the original Sierra (King's Quest, Hero Quest) stuff is heroic in my book.

'Course all the TSR D&D games. Spin that code wheel and find the word in the instruction manual just to play - genius! 'Til you lost the friggin' wheel.

Played alot of text based games on my Vic-20 growing up too. :D

I think the first game I owned for a PC that was actually mine would have to be Buck Rogers Planet of Zoom for the ADAM Computer by Colecovision. The game was on tape dude. Cassette tap.

A MSDOS 8 bit color aircraft game. Sigh after that I went to 3D Pinball, Carmen Sandiago, and then @15 moved into CounterStrike 1.5, then 1.6, then Dod 1.3.

My first PC game was Star Wars X-Wing Vs. Tie Fighter

I was addicted. :D

My first FPS was Quake...I lost it though...D:
