Blackmessa Problem.

i've mentioned it to several people. don't know if its on purpose or not. but The blackmesa server does not allow map downloads. if you do not have the map, and try to join you get an "error map not found"

This has been messing up on and off on the 208. servers. It shouldn't be happening, and it'd probably be worth PMing Garden about.

The point is also to get more people to go on our servers.... if people need to download the map, I'm pretty sure that they won't bother doing it and move along another server.

I have been having the same issue when we get a new map or have one during clan events. I always thought it was my internet conection. And was always able ot fix it with reseting my internet conection.
Simply put, I think the computers get sick of waiting for the compleat files and disconnect, this is caused by packet loss.

Yes I know computers are not alive but they do throw fits like a cars do.

Agreed, and I can support this with examples!

Myself. I know whenever I join a server and it gives that message about not having the same version of the map/not having the map at all, I don't download it from the internet, I move on.
