No more steamgroups please

Ok guys there has been a recent rash of steamgroups poping up with people using the eGO forums to populate them. This needs to stop immediately, the threads in question were moved and please do not post any more of them for they will also be deleted. I know these were set up for fun but in the past little groups have formed cliques, they then morph into groups that sometimes break from eGO and cause us alot of trouble. I hope you guys understand what I'm saying here as we dont want any of these tags to be worn after your name either.

There is no need for anything other than your full cooperation in what we are asking. Please do not start anymore steamgroups up using the eGO forums, do not ask anyone to place a tag on the end of their name to join said group. Please remove the tags from the end of your names, and disband these groups. If anyone has a problem with this request please send a private message to anyone in the TF2 leadership and they will be happy to explain it in more detail.

As a side note, no one is in trouble for anything as I just want to head this off before it goes any further here. The only thing that I would like to see is compliance with these simple, respectful requests.

Guys the main point here is that we ask you do not use eGO to create and populate steamgroups. We're not saying you can't belong to other steamgroups. TF2 is your game and Steam is your tool. You can use them however you want, but please avoid using eGO as a middle man. As Drunken stated, inter-clan grouping tends to go South.

I hope that clears up ESG and other similar questions.

You guys are missing the point. These groups have been doing their promoting through eGO channels, WHICH IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. If you want to go off and create your own little thing on the side, that is fine, but you will not be doing it through eGO. Once these groups are created you cannot mention eGO or our servers, they must be completely separate from us. Everyone has the freedom of being apart of other clans, so we have no problem with that.

A lot of you bring up [ESG] and that's a fair arguement, except they have never promoted through eGO. They are an outside clan that has some members in eGO and some regulars on our servers. If they HAVE promoted on our servers it's against our policy and they would be banned. But as far as I can tell they invite you to their group through steam, which is not through eGO.

So in conclusion,
1. These groups that have/will be created are fine AS LONG AS they stay far away from anything eGO related.
2. These tags MUST be worn after your eGO tags, eGO comes first and it's our rule
3. These things are divisive and it's been proven in the past
4. If you have a problem with this, talk to leadership
5. Please refrain from using eGO channels (website, servers, vent) to promote for their little side clans.

I kind of got the same interpretation from Tiddy's comment. For now I'm going with the bigger fish (Drunken), but I'd like a little clarification if you don't mind, Please.

It should be mentioned for anyone that doesn't know this, no multiclanning rules are nothing new; almost every clan/group has things like this. eGO's are really quite lax, considering that according to some leaders we're apparently allowed to have the tags as long as they're after our names (on our names at all is a rare privilege, considering other groups' rules).
