Okay so this weekend I spent about, oh, say, 30 hours playing oblivion (thats friday night, saturday, and sunday)

Yes, you can say addiction :P

Anyway I am here to say 2 things:

1) Get oblivion, it is one of the most rewarding, fun, in depth, challenging, stunning, captivating, and addicting gaming experiences yet.

2) I will be back on vent/forums, because I am taking a break from oblivion. Why you ask? I crashed and lost my saved game... I was almost done the main quest and had done several side quests in the cities. I am not about to go about repeating that all, so, I figure I take a months break Ill be ready to come back and do it all again :)

Anyway, seeya on vent! :P

Haha I beat it in only a couple of days after it came out (the main quest anyway). I also loved the thieves guild and got to become the Gray Fox when I beat it.

Yeah I know it can be addicting. Played it and some of the addons/ extra content a few times. Really cool game. If you like that, try Fallout 3...

Oblivion looks like a good game. I do believe it's on sale or at a very low priced now
So for the money, I would recommend getting the game.

man u need a girlfriend!

I love replies like this... just warms the heart knowing thoughtless rude posts still seem to weasel their way out of nowhere..

shrug :confused1:

Oh yeah, i was going to say oblivion rocked before I read above post, FO3 is awesome as well !

I love that game, I'm level 97.

...It's all but impossible to reach level 97 within Oblivion's original leveling structure. Best case scenario, you will max out at around level 53, if you are very careful with managing your stats, and starting character bonuses. Most people, however, will likely find they max out at around level 45 or so, give or take.

Anyway, Oblivion is definitely one of my favorite Western RPGs. One piece of advice for those looking to buy it, however: get the PC version. I can't name how many mods I use on this game (over 10GB of mods alone), and honestly, I would never want to play vanilla Oblivion ever again, after using them.

I've easily spent over 250 hours on this game, though... Not as much as with Morrowind (yet), but it's still an amazing experience. Pick it up if you haven't already, and if you want some advice on some good mods, just shoot me a message... I'll be glad to help. ;)

I would really like to know some of your favorite mods :)

I play without cheats right now though, so any mods that give me an "unfair advantage", I wont like. I like to tough it out without console cheats, gets me more into the roleplay!

Turned my post into it's own thread: here!

Feel free to contribute!

I just finished the game ago. I consider it finished after I successfully managed to get to the top floor of an Oblivion Tower using the paintbrush glitch (Skipping out the nether tunnels etc).
Although, I did finish the main quest and the side quests too. "The Shiverring Isles" Is a highly recommendable Add on! (I bought mine in store at about $3).

I'm not a fan of either oblivion or fallout 3.
With mods Fallout 3 is pretty fun, though.
Lots of mods.
