My TF2 Experience. (So far)

I have never got around to buying TF2, but when I saw they where letting people try it I was thrilled. So I begun the download.... 3 hours later it had raised 13% at 14 kb/s. Finally, it got 99%! Then, the servers began crashing. So for 1 hour I kept pressing enter when it said lost connection to the servers over and over. So like 43 kb/s for 3 seconds, then "Error".

FINALLY! It finished. Boy was it worth it. Much funnier than even CSS. :w00t:

Cant do anything with spie or medic, but am fairly good with engineer. I am one of those camping newbies who stations a MG right in a crevice and then hides lol.
 
YAY! hopefully you'll join us on Blackmesa! I need more people to dominate ......
 
Yeah you joined at a bad time. Every update, things inevitably things get messed up. It is a fun game though and glad you enjoy it.
 
I dl and bought tf2 while it was on sale last night and wow it is a fun game.



So far I love being a spy, probably my favorite. Stab, cloak and hide, repeat =)

Yeah, things are a bit crazy and will be for the next week or two. Dont judge the game just as it is right now. You will like it even better when things are back to normal and people arent afking away all the time.

As for the classes you arent as good at, just play them for a bit and you might find that you come to really like them and get better. I found it impossible to use the scout worth anything until i started playing him a couple weeks ago on the new Mesa. Im not saying im good now, but im much better and I LOVE playing the scout. The sheer mobility of the class is awesome.
 
Medic is the only class worth playing.

Seriously, I'm glad you gave TF2 a try, but why not when its free?
 
I just got it also; pretty crazy!

Not very effective, but I am a good bullet magnet - is there an acheivement for that?:P

Actually there is. I think if you get killed so many times by a certain weapon you get an achievement lol...
Your a good heavy when theres a medic healing ya.

Yea, with the free weekend and the new updates, i have found that the servers have been very full, and that i cant get in them. I just put like 5 servers on auto-retry :P

Seriously, even if you always take all the fire and die (us medics know the feeling well) the fact that they are shooting at you can still help the team. Your teammates can proceed to kill them while you are drawing fire :)
 
this is what i like personally about TF2

No one rules them all
Everyone has a role
That is what it makes Team Fortress

(honestly i think thats the most epic thing i have said in my life...copyrighted!)
