Is it a bug? Or just me?

Is this a but or am i crazy but when ever i am a sniper, i usually like to get headshots. But heres the thing some of the people i shoot in the heat don't die! Is this just me, or is it a bug?:crying:

Your shots might not be registering, if its happening on a lot when you're sniping, restart steam, and see if that works.

Also check your rates. Use net_Graph 3 to view your connection and adjust your client settings to get the smoothest connection.

If you are certain that your shots are aimed correctly, then it is certainly an issue of no registry. By this, I mean that shots do go where you aimed them, but they don't do damage correctly or not at all. This issue has been a huge problem with DoD:S since the major update last year. I'm sorry that this happens, but it is the worst with sniping. Don't worry, you are not the first and certainly not the last player to experience this. Just have to get past it unfortunately.

But most likely it can be your shots not registering... maybe your ping is high

haha someone ran infront of a mg yesterday and got spray by about 20-30 bullets and ran off with like 39 damage i was like WTH lol, and the MG just either didnt notice or care, but i thought it was hilarious.

I spend most of my time in the sniper server and have had this happen occasionally. Just swallow your pride and either look for another target or keep trying at 'em.

its because you shot their ear. STEAM doesn't count the ear as a vital body part, hence the no kill.

you could always consider shooting them twice. I always shoot my targets twice as a safety precaution. corpses look the same as prone assassins!
