When there is no eG or eGO on ....

Last night on pipeline there was an individual on the same team as I was who dropped the f word a couple times. Although we were losing again, I don?t see that as a valid reason for that language nor for the general way he was barking orders and telling folks they were stupid. Sadly, another individual was also doing the same although he at least wasn't as vulgar.

In retrospect, maybe I should have warned him, but I was concerned about escalating the situation and wasn?t sure if that was the right thing do. I am not afraid of confrontation and believe things like this can be handled with civility and respect, but I don?t know what my role is in situations like last night.

I alos could have muted them, left, switched teams, etc., but I don't see that as being the right options either.

So, my question is?.
? When there is no eG or eGO on, or the ones on won?t act, what do I do? Last night, there were no eG?s or eGO?s on either team. I have only been around for a couple weeks, so I don?t know many of the eG?s & eGO?s yet. However, I found one eG on my friends list online, but he was AFK (he did get back with me later and apologized and said he would be there ASAP if it continued).
 
Add me to your friends list, link is in my sig. Seeing as my summer vacation just started, I'll be on whenever you need me. Except when I feel tired and have techically died on my keyboard. I'll be happy to help you with any issues you may encounter while playing! :)
 
Feel free to add me as well, im on all hours of the night and am usually playing. When Im not online pm me and ill do my best to get on (Wife and son pose a prob at times) but any eG and O would be more than happy to help out when you need help, feel free to ask them for help anytime you get on a server and there is no admin.
 
Most times if you just ask them nicely, they'll stop. Something along the lines of "Suchandsuch, please, could you stop cussing/spamming/yelling at us/whatever? We would all appreciate it, thank you."

If that doesn't stop it or they begin to focus on you, then go get an admin.

And your best bet for finding admins outside of Vent or IRC is to add any eG and eGO folks to your steam friends who play during the same times of the day that you do.

Good advice -- Thanks Thereven I'll add you - I am sure we have played together (I probably helped your kill ratio go up ;) )...

I can hold my own, I just didn't want to do anything to reflect negatively on eGO....
 
Yeah, every time I've contacted an admin the admin has either come straight in or gotten someone else to come in. It's great :D

I play pipeline all the time, you can add me as well- Vandall613. Calling in G's and O's when you need some help is perfectly fine, as is warning pubs. Most pubs will stop if you just warn them nicely, or even asking them nicely.
 
Actually, you handled it just as you were supposed to. e's may want to, but shouldnt really warn, as a combination of lack of admin, and occassionally etiquette ( e.g "language"), means that they're only really going to provoke a bad reaction.
Feel free to bring up the page and yell in the shoutbox, or call an admin off your friends list (When you add some!). We'll all gladly come help out.
 
I usually give them a warning or two then i get an admin since i add everyone in the clan i play with.
 
You can add me and you can always jump on Vent. Add all the eGs and eGos you can. They will always be willing to help out!
 
add me to friends if you wish as well, im usually up late and have no problem helping out servers with no admins
 
Is there a problem if the server is full? Can admin still get in, or is there something us e's can do to help out that situation (short of leaving the game to make room).
 
Thanks everyone! I have plenty of new friends now and understand what to do...
