Gettin a PS3.

As the title my suggest I am going to be buying a PS3 very soon (bout a week). Only thing is I dont know what games to get. There are three games I know I'm going to get: Assassins Creed, UFC 2009 and Call Of Juarez: Bound in Blood. I need to know what other games you guys think I should get, seeing as the last playstation I owned was a PS1 I havent played any of the Playstation games that have come out in a while. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Although I haven't tried it, I've heard Resistance 2 is supposed to be one of the best games for the ps3.

Fallout 3 is worth buying. A great game.

I would say buy little big planet instead of Assassin's Creed ( I think AC is a renter at best because of how little hours there is to it and how repetitive it is )

I would highly recommend getting a 360 or a Wii for the fact if you're looking for games those are the systems to get. Ps3 I was really excited about getting and once I got it all the games I got were just "ok" and nothing spectacular. Besides using it for a blu-ray player I never ever use my ps3 for games.

Warhawk. MSG4 is definitely a must buy. Call of Duty. Resistance. Killzone 2. Little Big Planet. inFAMOUS. Ratchet and Clank.

UFC is a definite, that game is amazing. CoD:MW2 <<<must buy. Motorstorm<<<amazing graphics and physics. Resident Evil 5(never liked resident evil but that game is amazing)

Sorry but Bluewagon is right. Assassin's Creed is a great rental...but as a purchase it has little to no replay value & gets pretty repetitive after a while.

I had four 360's and they all crapped out on me. I used to be an Xbox fanboy but it doesn't have enough pro's to outweigh it's con's anymore. I have a Wii, but only because guitar hero is cheaper for it, also my mom wanted one. I'm getting a PS3 for a few reasons: free Multiplayer, integrated Wifi, better warantee, better customer service, has fewer problems than the 360 and yes even for the BD drive it has. Which means better graphics and sound and the discs will take forever to get a scratch, which is a major plus for me (get to save money buying games used).

I agree with most of that, but "better warantee, better customer service" isn't in Sony's favor...just keep the receipt or your screwed. Cost me $150 to cover the replacement of a broken disc reader.
