I woke up at 7:00 a.m. this morning bright and early for one reason, Mothership Zeta. While I usually don't do that sort of thing for a video game I did have an interest in this one in particular, why? Cause Fallout 3 is probably one of the best modern day First Person Shooter Role Playing Game of all time.
I downloaded the DLC which only took a matter of minutes, and then I realized why it took so little of time to do it cause Mothership Zeta is the smallest of all Fallout DLC's.
In a span of 5 hours I managed to beat the confusing yet entertaining at some moments DLC, and the ending left me asking more questions then before playing it.
Honestly, I thought I've been cheated. The only real reason to getting this DLC in my honest opinion is getting the extremely overpowered Alien tech littered throughout the Mothership.
--------------
Pro's:
- Alien Weaponry > Human Weaponry
- Amazing ammounts of Alien ammo (All the Aliens weapons except one which is a melee weapon take only one type of ammo variant, and that variant is the ammo you find all through the DLC.)
Con's:
- Repetetive
- The Alien's are more annoying then Swampfolk. Blurting out gibberish and can take more damage then a Swampfolk as well.
- The environments the player goes through throughout the DLC are confusing to navigate through.
- Laggy and glitchy at some points
--------------
So to sum it up, this DLC for Fallout 3 is by far the most bitter-sweet of all the five currently out. I would only recommend this to players who have time on their hands and don't get frustrated easily.
