This is a large classic map with tons of hiding points. Be prepared to work as a team on this map! If you like Donner, you more than likely will like this one also.
Since this is a big map, we made an auto installer for a faster download and setup. You can still join the server and have it download while in Steam, but that could take up to 10 minutes.
Take advantage of the auto installer and download by clicking the icon.

CounterStrike Makes A Move!
Our growing CounterStrike community has caught the HARPERTOWN fever!
They have elected to switch their box from a $179 a month Heritage (meaning old) 246 Dual-Core Opteron to the shiney new $199 a month Quad-Core HARPERTOWN with four gigs of Ram.
WARNING: AS SOON AS WE GET THE HARPERTOWN RACKED AND STACKED WE ARE TURNING THE OLD OPTERON DOWN. THERE WILL BE VERY LITTLE WARNING. We just can't afford to run another Hapertown and not turn down the old server immediately.
The first week or so the stats may not be up immediately since we will be waiting for Final BattleGround (FBG) to switch the stats. Also a new box means the Admin Mod has to be set up again.

Everyone is so pleased with the Harpertown that we are going to bring another one up. We hope to have servers by Friday! What will be on them? We are not sure, but it will likely be TF2 and DoD Servers.
The idea is to run all of our boxes thru August and turn down an old box or two come September when...

I got the new Saitek Cyborg gear, and it is awesome. And I have not even figured out how to use it to its fullest extent yet.
The mouse takes a little getting used to, but the longer I use it the more I like it.
Surround sound headset is just flat out of this world as I did not have 5.1 before.
The keyboard is also great, still trying to figure out all it is capable of. Overall all rating is great, a little hard to set up for us non technical people, but if I can do it anyone can.

I am playing on a Velocity Micro rig believe it or not, and was the keyboard and mouse that came with it. Velocity is a great rig, i've had mine for about 6 months...
HELP!!!
Can you help eGO by stress testing these servers? What we mean is get in and fill them up today. They are all on our new Harpertown box and we need to take a look at them running full for future planing.

Stress test this weekend!
How is everyone enjoying the new Harpertown box? It is the box with Goldrush and the 2fort Instant Spawn on it. Running ok we hope.
Well it should be since that is the newest box we have. It is a quadcore with 4 gigs of ram.
This weekend we are going to see if it can handle two more instances of TF2 on it.
So if you are around and you get a message in Vent, Irc, Xfire, Steamfriends, or in Game, please come to Kendle's aid! We need to see how this beast of a box handles 4 full TF2 servers before we order more of them.
Before we order more? That my friend, is another news post entirely.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY eGO!
What a diffrence a year or TWO makes! When EdgeGamers opened its doors on July 5th, 2006 it would only have one forum and one server, DoD Avalanche. Last year on this date we only had two servers, DoD Avlanche and Dod Donner. Bringing up servers back in those days was a big deal. Today, we bring up servers like it is a ho-hum affair.
This might be a good time to thank all of our donors and sponsors for making EdgeGamers possible. Four donors should be receiving their Saitek prizes this today or Monday. If you have received your prize, please PM JohnT so I can stop worrying about it.
