ahh nice......WHY HAVN'T THEY RELEASED INFO ON THE ATI 5 SERIES YETT.....they released info on all their new stuff but the 5 series. The 5 series are gonna have the video ports for everything :O displayport, hdmi, dvi, vga

Yea i've already read all the info that has been out. The one you gave me isn't as well detailed as some of the other ones ive read and its a bit old and the information is bit off but its close. The 5870 are running like 825 to 850 mhz while the 5850 is running 750mhz.

Im just like shouting because the AMD/ATI even was today or more like yesterday now and they were supposed to release the info on sept. 10
Maybe they will release it tomorrow or w/e today this afternoon sept. 11

They only show it capable of running up to 6 monitors and play L4D maxed on 3 monitors at once which is pretty impressive

Yea.......apparantly from what i've read on the most recent info about the new ATI 5 series cards. Info that was released only recently from the AMD/ATI event and all, the 5870 will be faster than the GTX 295. The 5870 will be something around 60% faster than the 4870, like the reference was that a 4870 ran L4D at 100 FPS, the 5870 will run it at like 160 FPS. They said about 1.6 times faster, something like that. CAN'T WAIT FOR THE 5870x2.....seems it will beat out the GTX 300 cards because Nvidia may mot be able to make a Dual chip card this time around considering how big the Die and everything will be on their new GTX 300 cards. They are supposed to be faster than the ATI 5 series though, just not faster than ATI's dual chip cards but they will be faster than their single chip cards.
