Yes, I like making battles of combine vs rebels (rebels win all the time some how) and then hitting them all with a stun stick.

Also you can build alot of cool contraptions/machines and stuff with it.
Overall theres a whole lot of stuff to do, and for such a cheap price, its more than worth it.

My favorite part is spacebuild, its when you use life support, make a spaceship, then fly into space in the map. Also you can blow up a lot of stuff

1) Check out the Garrysmod website (www.garrysmod.com)or download Gmod 9 to see if you like it. Gmod 10(pay $10 for it) is better than Gmod 9. Garrysmod 10 is known as just "Garrysmod"
2) Gmod subforum, I know it's technically a contraption showcase subforum, but no one ever uses it!
3) I would recommend Garrysmod. It has things for anyone. If you like building, that's the standard gamemode. If you like space traveling, the Spacebuild gamemode is for you. Although, if you don't want to build, you better hope there are some good advance duped ships. If you like killing things, you can play through HL2 or anything you want in Garrysmod.
4) Get Tortoise SVN if you end up buying it. Very useful for downloading things. Search SVN Links on the garrysmod wiki(below)
