Jail is beyond fixable?

I agree that many situations do not get properly handled. That said, it is very difficult to observe certain behaviors all of the time. There is a thin line between being a strong admin and being abusive. Also, as it has been said many times, freekilling often deserves a second chance. Just because you are freekilled does not mean it is going to get that person revoked. EVERYONE slips up sometimes and if there is any doubt it is likely that people will not be harshly disciplined. Also, there is much private warning and such that goes on that people may never see. I suggest that if someone is causing problems let the admins know in admin chat and they are likely to pay more attention to certain people instead of just complaining about abuses let us know politely. It really does work, I promise!

welll we tried to fix this, but people will never listen or learn. So we cant really do anything about it. Ive tried, trust me. .______.;;;

Well said frap!! This is why I havent really been around jail lately, well plus with california burning up and all works been busy. Its super annoying to die then have to wait 10 minutes for the next round, Also the yelling before the round needs to stop, I can think of a few people that come to mind that wont be named, but shouting commands doesnt make you warden.
This is what I do every single round when I play jail:
Back out of your cells, face them
Trivia like 50 times
Spray Contest

The only reason I play jail is because I suck at fps games(literally). Plus, I've seen soooo many admins say "Hurry it up, its 0:00". Then the round just goes on and on. If people are swearing and freekilling, don't be afraid to drop the ban hammer in front of everybody on jail. Out of the 50 days in total I have played on jail, I've only seen 1 perma ban and that was when somebody swore a lot and freekilled everybody.
Also, STAY WITH THE TS, CTS. I have seen at least 50 cts on the other side of the map. What happened to the rules of jail on the MOTD?
Next, there are some maps that are WAY too overplayed. I have played marble, what, 100 times now? I cant even recall the last time I played luxary. Please add/remove maps like Marble(way overplayed, ts always win), Spyder because the cts lag for like a minute and then everybody's cornered in armory then an admin says "Get out of armory", WE CANT.
Last but not least, STOP SPAMMING CHAT WITH CAPS LOCK. This is how I always lose trivia. I am great at trivia if there are 20-25 players. But when the server is full or almost full, if the warden or any other ct asks a trivia question, the chat is constantly being spammed with words like "GIVE ME ST, I WAS FREEKILLED" when they just joined, and fighting. Also, mostly, dont spam the chat with a conversation. Use steam chat, better yet, use vent if you have a mic.

now i know that was a probably a bad situation but I'd just like to say this. Jail is probably the hardest server to admin on in terms of catching everything in the division. We have people complaining about freekills, people using bad language over the mic and on the text, CTs not doing their jobs, etc. It's almost impossible to catch EVERYTHING that goes on.
Maybe before you quote me and respond to my post you should read it. The situation wasn't in Jail. It was an example of what I have seen in our servers that cause disruptions in game, they are just becoming so repetitive. I've seen countless members argue over warden and 1 eG in particular (who is one of my favorite people to play with) force others to give up warden. Unfortunately the worst occurrences have involved our members and not pubs. The pubs seem to get kicked before members. I think I/any member should be kicked faster than a pub because we're responsible for knowing the rules and knowing where to find them. This along with poor CT skills in Jail is a bad reflection on all that wear the "e" tag at any level. If you can't see these problems I invite you to one of our special events where members are kicked cause they cant follow the rules
. Pointing back to Fraps original post, we need to do better all of us. I'm only passionate about it cause I really like eGO, I haven't been a member of any group/org since Homelan Federation in about 2002 yes I have been playing that long (actually a little longer and I know I still suck). Beyond fixable? Doubt it. A solid team of cooperative admins could "fix" Jail right up. However, the reason I stopped playing jail would still be a problem. While admin improvements would definenately help, Jail mod at the moment is fundamentaly flawed. While the mod IS undoubtably fun, there is simply no good way to organize games, trivia, last request, etc. It seems like CTs always have a huge advantage (I know they are gaurds but let me explain).
*Based on a true story* I spawn in a jail cell with a vent. I break open said vent and make my way sneaky-007-style across the prison. I find a galili in a small room, and right when I pick it up, a CT thats been camping there for the last 4 rounds blows my face off and I get to watch trivia for the next 6 min.
It's stuff like this that turn me away from jail. I dont exactly know what will solve problems like these but it is my firm belife that someone really needs to re-work the jail mod.

Great post, really raised some valid points. Another thing - If a CT purposely baits again and again and again, there should be consequences, not just an unceasing string of "Dont bait please" that sounds like Microsoft Sam on repeat. Occasionally the admins will warn, but its generally only when the baiter baits THEM.
