i used to play TFC back in the day but part 2 looks all like a cartoon or somthing, how is the game play compared to part one?just wondering cuz i was interested in buying it but i just wanted some realistic reviews.

Pretty much.
Yeah, it's cartoon-style, but that lets Valve really show off their amazing sense of humor.

Just to let you know, it's not like TFC at all.

For instance, the Scout is actually one of the best classes in the game with one of the highest DPSes. The Soldier is now an offensive class. The Pyro is less terrible, although he's still not as good as he could be. The Medic is much, much easier to use, but can't poison, but he can become invincible with his partner for 10 seconds via ubercharge. All sorts of other stuff too.

But yeah. Go get it.

But definitely...get the game! It's probably worth 40$, but Valve is nice at putting it at 20

Theres also fortress forever. Which is basically tfc but with source engine gfx.
Dont hesitate on getting tf2, as silly as it looks its a lot of fun.

It's a little different from TFC.

Like the Pyro has a napalm bazooka or something which is like the Soldier's rockets but arcs downwards and sets people on fire in the explosion radius. And the Scout, instead of conc grenades, can make some sort of ramp that allows classes to go up obstacles.

There's a bunch of little changes like that.

And I think bunnyhopping is "automatic" in that all you have to do it hold down jump and it bunnyhops for you.

Team Fortress 2 is the little FPS that could, did, and still can. It's unlike any shooter I've played, and by golly, the support it has is amazing. Worth every dollar and more.

Yeah, I knda felt that way when it first came out, the part about it looking all cartoony and stuff. I have to admit, though, that I love the game and it is a blast to play. I guess if you want more realistic style play Fortress Forever or even Counterstrike:Source would be less cartoony but not sure on the gameplay as I have neither.
