beta leaked video thing

It all seems really messy and disorganized currently.

And I don't like there are becoming strange pros and cons for weapons. Why would hitting someone with your ubersaw drain 20 health? *sigh*

thank you, i agree all these changes look HORRIBLE the wrench is mostly pointless unless you have a regular engie helping you build, all the medic changes just suck i would say the medic update was the only balanced update so far, the heavy throwing his sandvich albeit AWESOME makes him now a medic with a mini gun, and the flameproof suit for spy will reduce the number of ragequits due to spontaneous combustion from spastic pyros but will alter the gameplay WAY too much for this to be a good idea :S

The wrench is great for combat engineers, the medic changes bring the unlockable into balance with their counterparts, throwing the sandvich seems to get rid of it making the heavy have to go to a supply closet before he can do it again getting rid of his shotgun and healing device, as for the flame-proof suit, axetinguisher. It even gets rid of the revolver, one of the main defensive weapons of the spy. It is like the razorback, large cost and too specific to have a large payoff. These are all good ideas and you will still be playing after the update and having fun, people need to stop over reacting.

A note on the -1 health per second for the Blut:
Medic has natural regeneration. The beta 1 blut reduces that natural regeneration by a point per second. It's basically the regular needlegun buff I suggested earlier, except from the other direction.
I'm confused by the beta medigun, with no overheal decay. Were people using the kritz too much? Is the kritz getting an additional buff?
Gloves of speed look interesting,
I'm already in love with the PDQ. I find Engie to be pretty boring most of the time, and this is just the thing I needed to add some spirit to the Engineer. Get an engie to help with the regular wrench, and you have a roving team of semi-stationary destruction.
Spy's flame retardant suit looks a lot like the razorback. The real question is if the pyro still hears that sizzling sound when flame-broiling spies, and if there's going to be a visual indicator on the undisguised spy. Honestly? I might use it if my previous spy work causes a huge influx of RAEG-Pyro. Otherwise, Ambassador all the way.

Valve is going to be INCENSED. Wasn't HL2 delayed because of a beta leak?

meh. nice find, but i'm pretty sure Valve wouldn't release something like that as a real update.

I call seconds on Scary Person.

well im not overreacting im just trying to put emphasis on my point (plus i never said i was guna stop playing thats a bit too far or that i wouldnt be having fun either, i think you should stop assuming things about people or reading too far into something), combat engies? isnt that only in arena mode? i personally never thought the medic was out of balance you never hear anyone complaining about how their overpowered, i see the point on the heavies sandvich i didnt see he went back to the supply closet, and while yes its true that the spys revolver would be gone it doesnt matter since with the spy no longer catching fire + C&D it will be almost impossibly to find a spy once their cloaked increasing their chances to back stab people.

Combat engies are effective on all game types building forward sentries and dispensers to suppor the team, the medic isnt out of balance but his weapons are, no one even uses the needle gun and bonesaw anymore. The spy still takes a lot of damage from fire with the suit in the video, enough for a quick spycheck to take you down.

oh i was thinking of something a bit different of combat engies, i always considered engies not building farther than their own points to be defensive engies, and while yes the no one uses the old medic weapons it doesnt mean the medics update weapons are overpowered either, they just offer bonuses that are not overkill, but how can a spy get taken out if they dont get caught on fire as thats what marks them even if you get bumped and your semi-visible if your good you can still get out of the area before they can perform a thorough spy check.

Medics preformed fine before the update with just the needle gun and bonesaw, personally I think they should buff those two weapons instead of nerfing the blutsaugher and ubersaw. Also I dont see the spy suits becoming game changing but we will have to wait and see.

The people in the beta already told Valve that they hate the Blut/Ubersaw changes. Instead they suggested that they merely upgrade the defaults.

fireproof suit suddenly makes the spy OP'd

i agree it will destroy the point of spy checking, it's true that the spy will get hurt but the only way in order to find them is if ppl run in to them and any person playing spy can easily avoid that now if the suit took away the cloaking i think that would be fair so i think these are fake valve wouldn't over power a class like this

For now, I'm just ignoring everything I've found regarding this 'beta' TF2 update. I don't know about you guys, but I'm currently alright playing with everything how it is rather than sighing over my favourite weapons getting meddled with.

And if it changes? Then I'll adapt and keep playing my favorite FPS, regardless.

I find myself unsure of the validity of this "Beta Valve" release. If you watch it again, watch the chatting in the lower left corner. It is not English, rather it looks like possibly Russian characters. Unless I'm mistaken, Valve in not located in the former Soviet Union, but in Seattle, Washington.

Bellevue, Washington, actually. My backyard.

There's a reason why this is called "beta", if it is in fact real.

It's real, and it's been around for awhile.

I'm pretty sure that valve is "nerfing" the alternates because of a gameplay choice regarding the originals.

Remember when the airblast was introduced? The regular flamethrower didn't get a little blue line saying "Airblast capability". No, they introduced it as a general buff, then added "Can not airblast" to the backburner. I'm pretty sure that's the logic going on behind the medic alternate "nerfs". New players without the alts need to know the difference between their new guns and the originals. It's easier all around this way.

Pyros ain't the only things that can spycheck. If you're not actively shooting at the enemy, take the time to check your six every few seconds. If you ARE shooting the enemy... tell your teammates to check your six for you. Playing spy, I know that people who regularly look around are almost IMPOSSIBLE to approach when they're not distracted.

Don't forget, this is a leaked sample being run on a hacked version of TF2. It could pop up Anywhere.

I highly doubt that this is real................but.........still.....I want those hats.
