2 cents from a non-eGO regular:
For me, it's not so much ping - or the occasional disconnect (I hate those little red letters in the upper right corner!!!). I'm no longer in school, and I feel like the map selection is ok - I can always find a server running something I like. I couldn't care less about points or rank, so the new stats thing wasn't an issue for me either.
For me, eGO servers are starting to feel less special, and more like any other halfway decent pub server. With the new "grandma rule", I see admins letting more things slide (or warning for the same thing 6 or 7 times without even a kick). People are allowed to repeatedly disrespect their teammates or rudely order them around, or argue with the admins, and sometimes it's even the EdgeGamer members doing it.
The general tone of the servers seems to be slipping, and there seem to be fewer admins around who can (or will) deal with it. Since that's the main reason I play here, I tend to call it a night when stuff like that happens - if I have to grit my teeth and mute half my team, it's no longer fun.
