It looks really good so far. Hopefully the multiplayer won't be too out of balance, I have a feeling the humans are going to be a little weak in MP.

thats how it was in AVP2... luckily we only ever played it on LAN, and would make rules.. like certain weapons couldn't be used/etc cuz otherwise the Predator was insanely impossible to beat

That is twice in 10 minutes that you've creeped me out.
Waiting and ready, Have played the first two games in this franchise that were released for PC (Alien vs Predator Gold, Alien Vs Predator 2 both the original and the expansion) and can not wait for this one. :drool: The graphics look awesome and just waiting to see how the actual game play turns out. We will see in Febuary

well as an avid avp fanatic. i would like to say avp2 sucked compared to the original avp. The game was always balanced funny. being that the marines are mid-weak but, hey they have the smartgun and radar so you know when there coming for you unless its from behind. Predators are the slowest, most health and possibly the most dangerous array of weaponry. The Aliens have the least amount of health but, are fast and can climb walls so to say its too imbalanced isn't very true. Its the way you can play each species and become very good with them and frag your friends. I was obsessed with avp when played it back then heck we even did tournaments and clan scrims it was fun organizing it anyway make a long story short its been a long time coming for a new Aliens game and remember this is all based off of the movies and the first internet Aliens game was Aliens Online look it up youtube it was awesome!!!!

I don't know about this one. It's being done by Rebellion, who if memory servers me correctly hasn't had a good game since the original Alien Vs. Predator. I mean one of their last games was Rouge Warrior, which had universally dismal reviews.
The game looks good, but judging by the developers past...I'm not exactly hyped for this game.

I *might* get it. Honestly, Rebellion hasn't been too good lately. In fact, the last good game they made was the last remake of AVP.
Also, why remake it again? Sure we had those crappy movies and #2 had a crappy expansion, but AvP 2 was a solid core and honestly I'd be more excited for the new one if it had a #3 and if Monolith was making it, but do we need a 3rd remake?
Although if Rebellion adds Evolution mode I will strike every skepticism out and love the game with open arms. Evolution = 2nd favourite multiplayer component EVAR. Does anyone else remember it? How some marines and preds would be fighting and there'd be a facehugger, and the facehugger had to somehow isolate someone and then you had to evolve from each stage all the way up to queen, and once you got a queen more Aliens would breed and then the marines/preds (IF there were any left, there were usually less preds since the marines ALWAYS had the underhand in that game... my only issue with it.) had to stop the queen together? Oh man, good times. I wish Steam would re-release that one too...
I'll give Rebellion the benefit of a doubt, it looks good visually and although I doubt my computer can run it I'll maybe rent it from gamefly to see for myself once a few reviews come in.

the PC is going to be the main one
PC version will be DX11 so im gonna just say the graphics are gonna be a heck of a lot better than the console versions........the trailer isn't bad but it didn't look amazing either, graphics didn't look amazing and the gameplay looked a bit buggy
Will have to wait and see til it comes out, will keep my eye on the PC version though
