A challenge for you spies out there

Yes, Frisky I know you're one of the good CnD spies. But what I've said doesn't target you because you're a top-notch spy. It's for the majority of the spies that actually do that..And when they uncloak, then they get scorched by a Pyro (because Pyros have superhuman senses of spies).

But the spies that do what you do (information, taking out high priority targets), I <3 you.

I tried to use the Dead Ringer and CnD when they came out but it just wasn't the same and I've been using the normal watch since the update...In fact now that I think about it...I'm not using anything new for the spy...and I normally do decent =]

Yeah, I hear yah. I don't know why I try and use them every now and then but I do pretty bad...I've had a few good runs with the Dead Ringer though, just not enough...they seem to cripple the spy a little more than the normal one does. But I guess in the end it all depends on your style of play

It just means you need more practice with those watches. I do well with all the new spy toys, and before any patches were even out the IW was an awesome watch. I loved it because it made you a good spy, no ammo crates to refill your watch,...no if you ran out of cloak you had to learn where and when to hide...it limited your movement kind of like the C&D...perhaps thats why I love the C&D so much. Those were the good old days, thats how you could tell a good spy from a bad spy. Now with the 2 new watches, the IW isnt really as good as it was imo. Its all on your style of play, but C&D is by far the best imo.

The few times I feel like being sneaky and taking out some people with a knife to the back I usualy use the IW. I like that it presents a challenge to the cloak and makes you think before you just "duck cloak" as i call it. This is basically the act of cloaking to suddenly avoid detection or ambush. This tactic works a lot for suddent attacks but not so much for ambushes.

As far as the CnD goes, I like it for payload maps. It is a handy tool to have to be able to move with the cart and be cloaked longer and be able to counter-ambush those who rush the cart -- the defending team that is. So it is rather handy

The DR - I liked it for a few minutes due to the fact that I could feign a death from FALLING off into 'A' on Black Mesa and then cloak and nobody could figure out what was going on. Beyond that, I don't care too much for it.
