Hard drives

I need a new hard drive and i'm not really sure about brands. I was looking at this Samsung one here it has some good reviews but im not sure. Any suggestions would be nice. I dont want something like a VelociRaptor, my budget is under $90, and I need at least 1TB.

The samsung F1's & F3's are decent HDD's at a decent price, exellent for storage.

I have a Hitachi 1TB drive that I use for storage, it has been unremarkable (a good thing for HDDs!)

One thing to watch out for were some early Seagate 1TB drives that were absolutely terrible. The newer ones are fine, but make sure you know what you're getting if you go Seagate.

that samsung one you picked out is great for the money......$75 for 1tb?!?!?!? go for it......otherwise, i usually either look at Seagate or Western Digital, they are all good though.

Is there a difference between the open ones like that one and the closed ones like the samsung?

The picture for the WD one just shows it open like that, but it comes closed!

They are all "closed" the picture is just to make it look cooler than what a HDD normally looks like.
