Hi, I'm confused about the ranking system on HLstatsx. How does it work? Right now I'm rank as a recruit, although I play often. How can I rank up? Anyone I can talk to in PM?

Ex: Everytime you kill someone, in the chat it will say YourName got 10 points (3,245) for killing EnemyPlayerName (2,324)

You also get one extra point for killing someone with a headshot.

You can also get points if your team wins a round, planting the bomb, defusing the bomb, etc.

I think the "Rank" is dependent upon the number of kills you have made. Your "ranking" comes from points, where your point total falls with respect to everyone elses point totals. People can achieve a fairly high "rank" without being high in the "ranking".

I have 10 kills. I am a recruit. When I have 50 kills I will be a private.

I have 1027 points. My rank is 6593. There are 6592 people with more points than me.

I don't believe in getting hung up on the rank thing. I look at it to see if I'm improving but I don't play the game for points. I play for fun.

You can get a few extra points for more than 1 kills in a round or a big streak.
It might say "got 7 points for rampage (6 Kills)

That is not HLStatsX.

HLStatsX isn't used as a ranking system on eGO servers anymore, or at least that is what I've been lead to believe from previous discussions.
The FBG Ranking system maybe has you listed as a "Recruit" ? In which that case is, you don't really learn how many plinks you've earned each round as eGO servers don't have the pop-up to tell you.
The current ranking system that shows up on eGO servers I was told was a unique system. We dropped the HLStatsX and now have our own. I believe reading that using our own ranking system is saving eGO some big $$$.

Anyways if I'm wrong I apologize, but I don't think I am.

We're still using hlstats, but ego is hosting it's own hlstats now. That's why it was all reset about a month ago.

everytime you get a kill, you get a certain amount of points from that person(depends on how high ranked the person is) the more points you get, the closer you are to leveling up

My HLStatsX is still updated everytime I have a kill, I have over 10 kills most definetly, and over 50 kills no doubt. HLStatX still says I'm a recruit. I have more then 1,000 points, and I'm ranked somewhere in the 2,000th....

This is using edge gamers stats. I'd ignore HLstatX if I were you.
