Having Problems With Vent!

I have had Vent for awhile now and usually it wouldn't bother me to much. But lately I have had everyone coming through some loud and some I cannot hear. I know you have to go into settings to fix everything but when I try and click on settings, everything freezes right up. So I have to close and start over but still the same problem. Plus I don't think that anyone can hear me when I try and talk as well. Any suggestions, maybe delete and re-download it or something??

I think their is a new version of Vent out - if you haven't already, you may want to try that. Otherwise, try going back to the old version and see if that helps.

Best thing to do is to uninstall/reinstall Ventrilo.

You know, I had a similar issue on my old PC. Sometimes it would overheat and just make my Ventrilo wacky.

+1. Redownload Vent/ or download the latest version.

K, I sort of have found some informtion on this. According to the Vent forums it could possibly have something to do with sound card config's. Says to try holding CTRL while clicking setup, should open. No fix for the problems that comes with it if it works.
Problem is it doens't work for me. Others have found certain drivers or USB devices that interfere with Vent. I have tried unplugging what I know I don't need, like my Tablet and Printer, still no solution. I guess it's something they can't/don't want to fix.
Will keep working on switching out USB's to see if I find a solution!! Crossing my fingers !!
