AK vs. M4

Ok so we did Scout vs. AWP and the results were fantastic, only thing i wish i had done was add a poll... so guess what?... If you guessed I'm redoing the SCout vs. AWP with a poll... youd be wrong hehe.

This time i am doing M4 vs. AK!!! (with poll)

Do the same as last time and just give me your thought on what each gun is like and what you prefer =)

I'm really intrested in this because i started using the guns so thanks for this, and i would just like to say thanks to all of you on the last Scout vs. AWP post how great you were and especially JunK's posts =) thanks

i was first to vote, haha, but KK posted before me while i was typing my thread =P
well im sure some people are going to be like, wtf is up with all these polls...who cares, its keeping the forums busy instead of the typical junk like, oh look at this awesome video (incoporated 2) and all that junk.

so why did i vote for AK...easy.
there are a lot of myths surrounding the m4, and yes it is a well rounded weapon but in the end the damage suicides this weapon.
the ak is the best simply because of its what, 99.999% accuracy with its first bullet, as well as 1 HS kill from anywhere on the map, armor or not. meaning if you are good with the ak you will dominate from anywhere, against anything. people even snipe with the ak.
yes m4 is great for spraying, but what happens most often with spraying is the long awaited random CSS headshot. spray for 2 seconds and bam you get your random css headshot, basically doesn't even matter what you're aiming at, you'll finally get that hs. well anybody that can do anything with a gun will just pause for a moment, and while you're spraying they will aim at your face, and shoot you in it. and with the ak its going to be much faster than a 2 second spray.
sure you may have lost 50 hp or so, but you got the kill and didn't die, next.

if you want to base the weaopns purely on spraying, which im sure most people in this thread will do, obviously the m4 will come out on top. thats why its probably the most popular, and most widely accepted, because lots of people are going to say oh well i can't use the ak, its way too inaccurate or i just can't get kills with it or something.
most likely thats because you're either spraying with the weapon, or running and shooting at the same time, which m4 will beat the AK at with ease.

take your time, strafe, shoot 1-2 bullets controlled at their faces and the AK will come out on top every time.

Really comes down on how you play. If you spray and pray you wouldn't hit anything with either weapon. If you control burst you can rock with both weapons. Just remember to aim for the head and should be a instant kill with less than a clip.

In most cases they are relatively the same in accuracy and in damage not to far off. In my opinion the M4 is better. I also like going silent with it lol

I like to use the M4 Silenced as a replacement for the Autosniper. Its accuracy increased, I can fire at a duh duh duh pace with every shot going exactly where I want it. For close combat I prefer the AK but seeing as I am a sniper M4 is my choice.

yeaahh AK is more power = stronger even if you try to hs with m4, it takes 2 hits

hard to choose but id go with fast reload with ak then slower reload with an m4 and m4 is less powerful but gives u those ninja skillz so im goin with ak

Well i voted for the Ak. I definitely used to like the m4 much more but as I've progressed as a player (using non sniping weapons) I've found that the ak complements my "sniper" style better. One or two quick shots and retreat behind the wall. However in my opinion, if you like to rush around corners spraying for your life then the m4 is definitely the dominate weapon.

M4's excel in the art of spraying n' praying lol. If you try to spray with the ak it's possible to miss with an entire clip from 10 ft away. In fact I've done exactly that with someone else using an ak. We were like 10-15 ft away and just started spraying away. Neither of us hit a thing except the walls.

In the end though, even with its horrible spraying, i still have to go with the ak because of the awesome first shot accuracy and its one shot kill for a head shot. I can't stand anything more than head shotting someone with an m4 and not killing them ._. Its like winning the lottery(not really) and losing a your ticket... And then it coming out of nowhere to kill you...

well, as much as i love the ak, i just think the m4 is all around better. with an m4, you can spray and be accurate, can kill people at a distance, and it can be silenced for not being seen on the mini map.

M4, only because i can't train myself yet to do 1-2 bullet bursts in slow succession ;D.

When im playing with the m4 my bursting is quite accurate and you'll constantly see headshot after headshot.


I'm sure with the AK if i applied myself to it i would be a bit better, but i find myself lusting after the m4 as a T ;D.

The ak.

i click slower or fast depending on the distance.

its hard to get a decent shot with the ak but if you
concentrate on where the bullets are going you can

a question i get allot is if i use the silencer.
