The Jail Metagame: An Adventure

Oh man it was epic. The most fun I've had as a terrorist yet. Bunny hop to pool was great cause it was one of the first things we did and all the CTs were too confused to kill us. And when we did all in one cell they were too afraid to come in lol. Massive massive lulz and if we can ever get a 20+ t team that organized again I hope I'm there. We had all but like 3 people with us. Thanks for cooperating with us if you were there. Good times.
 
We just had an unplanned mass suicide. Its good to know that this is recognized even when unannounced! Or people just like to follow the leader! (CT's do it too!)
 
I'm still figuring out some things about this new adventure, the gist of it is just doing abnormal Jail things to help everyone have fun.

Monday night (Tuesday morning technically) I did a thing as CT where anytime anyone said or typed the world "Voldemort" I dropped dead instantly. I did it for a whole map. It was really funny (at least to those of us in Vent) and I personally enjoyed when the map changed and I acted like it never happened. "What's with the sudden Harry Potter obsession?"

There are times when it's not a good idea to metagame. It's not good to do it when there's less than 10 people on the server, and even though I did it a bit I would not recommend doing it as much during the Jail Night Event, as the coordinators have already worked hard to find their own new ways to spice up Jail life.

So just like anything in Jail, there is a right and wrong time for it. Figuring out that perfect timing and balance is taking awhile, but ultimately it's all about having fun on a unique server in a fun environment.

I agree, we were doing the meta game and it was getting boring because all we were doing was killing ourselves.

When I T Warden I do not call out suicides or knife rushes, I definitely prefer the confusion generated by playing games where all t's have to move to another location not specified by the CT's. I've had ct's convinced that the mass of t's moving to the pool were ordered there, and they haven't shot at us. When it's just one or two people coordinating their shenanigans over steam you sometimes get ST from a frustrated warden lol.
Thanks to this post I have had a few ct's that see me start jumping somewhere and say "oh, metagame" before blasting me into oblivion a few seconds into a new round.
 
I'm guilty of the "oh metagame" but i don't say it. I just pop you in the head :)

My favourite is meta-death that is not planned...it just happens
 
I'm also guilty of the "oh metagame" and I've said it once. I never kill the people doing the meta-game I just do it with them. Like if they are spinning in place I will start doing that.
 
I remember those massive suicide in one map hmm,hmm was fun xD made the rounds pass so fast.
