I'm thinking I might go to the darkside and get a Honda. My 2002 Mustang V6 is getting 12 (yes, 12) mpg. I have to fill it up 2-3 times a week and that's even if I ride to work 2-3 days (which is getting harder to do since when I leave the house now it's mid 40's..... not fun). It's at 74,000 miles and close to death.
I'm looking at getting a 2008 Civic LX coupe. I can get one for ~$18,000 msrp. According to kbb I can get ~$5,500 for my Mustang. So payments on a new civic would be somewhere around $300-400 a month which is easily do-able.
Only problem is that new Civics are 'the most stolen cars in Austin' so that will impact insurance. But still, insurance+gas in a Civic is a hell of a lot less than insurance+gas for a Mustang.
Anyone want to help me with some input on this car? I've got a few friends that have 07's and they love them. I've driven one of them a few times and it's a fun car. Anyone have any opinions (other than 'omz h0nda sux0rz') or experience?
