Bioshock Help!

I just recently bought and downloaded Bioshock for the PC and after trying to run it, I get a message saying Bioshock.exe stopped working...

I really would love some help or advice as I was really looking forward to playing this game

Are you doing anything when it happens? ...like changiing screen resolution?

Just kidding...

I actually can not remember WHICH of these 2 solutions worked for me, but I guarantee you it was one of them.

Put -dx9 in the launch options.

Put -windowed in the launch options. After your first run, you should be able to run it and it launch find without the -windowed afterward.

Edit: My Bioshock was from D2D when they had it for 5 bucks. But I'm sure they are both the same digital distribution.

I was able to run it as an admin once and got it working but now it wont work anymore ;[
