what game should i get?

Ok here is my situation. im looking to buy a new game for PC or my ps3. If i get a pc game it will be the Fallout 3 Game of the Year edition. I dont know if i want to buy that or something for my ps3. I dont generally play shooters on ps3 because i like mouse and keyboard. I just bought skate 1 and love it and might buy skate 2. I can only buy one game so can someone help reccomend me a game for ps3 or should i get Fallout 3?

Yeah, I've had Fallout 3 since about a month after it came out and still haven't beaten it. I find the progression way too slow, although it seems like it would be fun if I could get into it. Borderlands is apparently similar to it though, and although I haven't played it myself it seems like everyone loves it so you should try looking into that

*Also, you can play Borderlands with friends or just anyone online which is always more fun, as opposed to Fallout's single player only campaign.

Yeah, I wouldn't put out cash for Fallout 3. It gets pretty boring pretty fast. Borderlands on the other hand, is new, fun, flowing, fast, fun (oh wait), awesome and new RPG. I doubt I'll ever get bored of playing it with friends via TeamSpeak.
Just my 2 cents.

FALLOUT 3 is probably the best game i have ever played. MOD's make the game SOOOO much fun after you are tired of the main story. You will get tired of the main story after like 20 playthrough's. I have 145 hours logged on my current character.

Yeah i have to agree here, i bought Fallout3 for PS3 and it got dry, real fast.
Granted they have these new expansions or whatever, but it'll probably suffer the same fate.
The game is fun, but i dont believe its worth it if your tight for cash or whatever.

I wont suggest borderlands because its a slanted view people have currently because its new and fresh and exciting.
If you look back, people were all saying "GET FALLOUT ITS EPIC" right when it came out. And now its run its course.

From the looks of it, borderlands may go through the same routine.
So my advice, wait it out a little longer.

Fallout3 is much cheaper then on steam if you get it from direct2drive.

I would suggest investing in Borderlands, and if you have some spare cash, Fallout3.

Another suggestion would be world of goo. I have about 100 extra copies that I got during the event.

Agreed.

It took me 3 hours to beat and realized that was it...no going back to do side missions. I know they have the expansion or whatever but I never cared to get it. The game itself is alright, Oblivion still blows it away IMO.

All games get old fast. You guys aren't asking the real question. Was the game fun?

I played Fallout 3 for a month with all the expansions before I got bored. I finished the game then it got boring. Any game you finish gets boring. Why do you think people get addicted to WOW or those MMORPGS, there is no finish, no end.

Last year, I played Bioshock and that was fun. This year, I played Fallout 3 and it was awesome. Now when I think about the games, they're boring.

Oblivion to this day, still isn't boring to me. Same with GTA 4 and of course all the Multiplayer games.

well i went ahead and bought hte Fallout 3 because it came with so much content. I dont know much on borderlands and will learn more later on it. I new Fallout 3 is amazing ive played it before and i really wanted to play the expansions.

Considering I put 40 hours in one week into Borderlands without it losing its fun and not playing any other game makes me think im not going to get bored with it.

Im lvl 50, and still playing.. its like Diablo.. always goin for more loot and I still play Diablo all the time.
