Hey guys, c'mon. Just be glad that Hat Fortress 2 isn't pay to play or anything silly like that, considering that we even get free updates. Some people got this game for $2.50, I'm sure getting a bonus hat out of preordering another game isn't TOO horrific of shameless self-advertisement.

Eh. Maybe you could say it's not the best move by Valve, since it is easily seen as being in poor taste, but I don't hate them for it. Infact, I'm not even slightly upset, and I had to really scrape the money together before to preorder L4D2 so I don't see how poor people are going to riot over this.
Stuff like this happens with practically every company but Valve. It's just they have gotten on the train as well. I'm personally not bothered by it since it's just a hat, and TF2 is about so much more than the hats. Sure they're nice, but really in the end I don't care who has what. It's just a small, tiny, nice bonus.
