What happened?

1. Dustbowl was not "killed". It was the next lowest server and used for the Harvest Event map.

But... then what happens .... is it coming back? it should be, (before the stats issue, dustbowl was a recruiting paradise when I was still a recruiter, more to gain, and more to keep playing there)

still makes no sense to me why they would change g-pit and dustbowl into 2 servers for the same map (harvest) Is harvest REALLY that popular?

I doubt it.. even before the koth event it switched to toyfort. It was weird opening up my server list and seeing eGO toyfort, I thought I actually favorited a toyfort server...

I feel the same way about Toyfort.. it didn't get played much, and i only got a week on it, but it was my favorite map, and I'll miss it dearly

I do get pretty miffed when I see 2 KOTH Harvest servers at 0/32 though :|

It really is depressing, the most I've seen on either of the two KOTH servers these past few days is 10/32. They really are not worth keeping. MAYBE one, but I don't think one either, KotH isn't very popular compared to the other modes (besides arena).

Agreed. I haven't seen the KOTH Harvest maps very busy at all.

The KOTH servers are running the Koth Harvest Event/Final maps. Those maps came out for the Halloween update, and both servers were running at 32/32 during peak and many non-peak playing hours.

Regardless of "numbers", it's hard to ignore offering a highly-sought after map despite how much "fun" other maps may be.

So, that's the past. The Halloween "event" is over. The KOTH servers are empty.
Now what?

1. One of the KOTH servers has been earmarked for something already. It's too soon to discuss what that is, however, as mentioned previously, eGO level members will be advised and asked for input - probably by tomorrow.

2. The second KOTH server has not been "assigned" and is still open. Again, eGO level members will be advised and asked for input on this server too.

Non-eGO level members reading this thread should use the Drop Box or contact an eGO level member to ensure their opinion is heard.

It kinda sucks that I JUST had my desktop computer fixed to play team fortress2 and my favorite server of ALL is gone. After seeing it had been removed, I felt like something in FML about it lmao. It really sucks. I do know that eGO tries its best to appeal to all players and that sacrifices may have to be made just to please the majority, maybe, but its just a shame that one of the most enjoyable servers had to be taken down.

yes, nothing can fill the space that dustbowl once filled, but ah... turbine and 2fort aint that bad either, rather fun to see some many people die because of kritskriegs
