Convert .dem to .avi

What free programs are there to convert a .dem to .avi? My google searches came up with websites no longer in existence.

I have a .dem that I wish to view at slow speed. Is there a way to do that?

I just record it with fraps. So I get the demo, replay it with fraps, and it makes it look good.
