so, i know nothing about insurgency. would you guys be willing to give me a short rundown of the game?

Its a HL2 mod. Its realistic. It requires you to work as an individual team and as a whole team, what i mean by that is you have 2 squads for the marines and 2 cells for the insurgents. each squad or cell contains 8 players. and each squad or cell needs to work as a separate squad to obtain there goal( 4 players of this squad go here 4 of this squad go there, etc, etc). For instance: Squad 1 the players either need to work as a group of 8 or in 2 groups of 4. Same goes for squad 2. This is not a fast past, run and gun game. It can require patience and slow paced advancement to each objective.

Here is a link to a thread i made with videos on INS tatics

It's tough to give you a quick rundown. I can point you in the direction of some tips and hints...

sounds interesting. i'll be looking into this further when i'm not at work.

dont play with pimp daddy smurf your first week or so, lol

He hacks. ;)

Basically, it's a realism mod that focuses on teamwork. All maps have capture points, the variation lies in which team is allowed to cap and in what order are they allowed to be capped.

As for tips, use your iron sights always and look for cover before running. It has a steep learning curve, so don't get too down on yourself when you get no kills the first half hour.

Yea easy Bro, Its a FREE Mod of HL2 and its Awesome. You wouldn't expect it to be FREE!

Yep, high learning curve, but play the same map a few times and it gets easier.

wow, this is a tough game after playing tf2

Heheh, I know the transition can be difficult. But, that's what kept me coming back. Try to learn the maps as best you can as it really is the greatest asset in playing this game. Once you know where all the hidey-holes are, not only can you use them but they also won't get you nearly as much.

i've been messing around a bit with this. it can be really fun but really frustrating. i'm still getting used to spotting enemies and whatnot but i've managed to get a few kills and have had some fun. thanks everyone.
