Mouse: Logitech MX518
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826104178

Why this one? Because it is an amazing gaming mouse and 1600 dpi if thats what you choose to use is more than enough. This mouse has a very long warranty and you can replace it quickly. But, it's lasted me over 2 years so far and no issues. On the fly sensitivity adjustment is amazing and the side buttons are very nice.

Keyboard: Dell Keyboard (Slim Version, Compact)

Will update as I get more parts! :)

Alright, I got some more parts and used the Bing.com 10% Promo for Newegg.com to get a lot of parts for cheaper :D.

5970 too expensive :(. I'll just CF 5870s in the future. Right now no game even uses 5970s to their potential.

ATI 5970 = $200 less than Crossfire 5870 ATM..........and it can overclock higher than two 5870's supposedly. Its got higher quality RAM and all that so that it was ensured high overclocks and they are all hand picked from the batch, plus voltage tweaking program to allow such high overclocks.

Yes, but you have to fork over all that money at once. Not to mention by the time he gets his second 5870, they will have dropped in price significantly(40nm yields should be fixed, and there will be competition from Nvidia).

Nice build. :)

true.......will still be a while till that happens considering they are never in-stock meaning high demand low supply.......and Nvidia won't be coming out with their cards till next year and you gotta add a couple months to that before real deals start rolling out for the ATI 5 series cards.

Money also doesn't really seem to be a problem for him considering the build hes looking at right now haha

Honestly, the only changes I would make are Thermal Paste / Storage drives. The rest is, well, looks like one I'd build!

I prefer Arctic Silver thermal paste. It has served me well for many years and I recommend it for all builds. It's obviously not going to make or break your rig, but you may net a few degrees temp difference. OCZ is an excellent company when it comes to heat dissipation, but I stick with what I know.

I also prefer Western Digital drives. When you're dealing with mass amounts of storage space, go with the leader. WD drives have always served me well. I still have old IDE drives running in a few servers. 10 years+ old and still running cool, fast, and accurate enough to remain in my servers! Again, this will not make or break your system. Just my personal preference. I would suggest the RE3 series of WD drives for your build.

Looking at the rest of your choices really makes me smile. Great equipment! Exceptional choices! If you need any assistance with it, feel free to ask!

Technically, I'm at my $ Limit right now haha.

Thanks, glad you like it! ;)

Now, my choice for the Samsung Spinpoint F3 is simply because it performs better than any WD Drive in current benchmarks.

However, the 2GB WD is pretty close. That said, I don't need 2 TB and it would cost me a good amount more. But, I do like WD a lot and currently am using one in this PC, so I cannot say it is worse to go that route.

Thermal Paste, Artic Silver 5 was the one I was also looking at, I might just go that route after reading some newer tests.

Now, my choice for Thermal Paste is also based off of some tests. At 1st I was inclined to go with Artic Sivler, however, after looking at performance I found out that OCZ Freeze was actually the 2nd best available thermal paste on the market.

OCZ Freeze got Gold
Artic Silver 5 got Silver

Why do people always assume that if someone is building a nice computer they can afford whatever they want?:confused1:

lol cuz they are spending a lot of money on a PC so we assume they have money to spend?? and if they are spending not a lot of money on a PC then we assume they don't have a lot to spend??

i said it as a joke anyway and he replied with a laugh and i learned that he was at a limit so everythings good anyway.....

I'm just saying, every time I post a build I'm doing on a forum(not just this one), it's usually a $2000-$2500 build. And every time, people are always like, why not get 24GB's of RAM? Why not get tri-SLi? Why not get a $400 case? Why not get a 1500W PSU? Why not get a SSD?

Just because I can afford $2500, does not mean I can afford $3500 or even $3000.
