1366 CPU Cooler

Hey guys, can you do me a favor?

I have an Azza Solano 1000, and don't exactly have it yet. Long story. But I was looking at heat sinks, and my case has a huge side fan. I'm paranoid that if I pick out a heatsink it won't fit.

Are there any shorter ones? All of the ones I'm finding are 120mm+.

:(

Its a full-tower case, you should be fine. My HAF 932 has a huge side fan also and it can fit any heatsink i want. My fan is positioned better thow and is lower than the CPU heatsink allowing better clearance for any heatsink.

You should be fine though and most of the coolers should fit in that case, don't go small you will be dissapointed.

Or you could get one of the Corsair all in one water cooling things maintenance-free so you don't have to worry about space, its also pretty cheap water-cooling like $60-70. It doesn't perform as well as something like a megahalem but its another option for you.

Yeah, people I said I didn't want a Megahalem, thanks for suggesting it though lol. I'll take a loot at some of the others. As for why I wan't the push turn attachment, is because I don't want to reinstall my system just for a better cooler. Its not that big of a problem.

Thermalright's Venomous X (self-proclaimed successor to the TRUE) might be a good one. I'm waiting for a few reviews before I get one.

$28 for the best cooler out there at the moment ? hmmm... i was always told you get what you pay for . Excellent ratings on her, i would call it the best cooler out there for the money.

My i7 has a Noctua mounted atop of her , swapped out the stock fans for some high CFM Scythes and added a fan controller to calm it down when needed. Keep in mind when you buy the Noctua, you are also getting $40 worth of fans with it and some pretty good Thermal compound.

Well it depends on your overclock, a Coolermaster Hyper 212+ is very nice for the price. It has the whole heat-pipe direct touch design but unlike Xigmatek, the base is decent and a much better fan.
The Noctua's are always great, the fans are ugly but they are some of the best fans on the market. Plus it comes with great thermal compound.
Corsair H50? It's pretty low profile and performs well.
Thermalright Ultra 120, Venomous X6 or the new MUG are all great. Granted, with the Venomous (the new flagship model) you need to buy fans. Putting you back in the same position with the Megahalem's.

My personal choices would be:

1. Tuniq Tower 120 Extreme - Link

2. Thermalright "Limited Edition" TRUE Copper Ultra-120 eXtreme - Link

3. Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme-1366 RT Rev. C - Link

4. Thermalright Venomous-X - Link

Snuf you got something against Noctua?
I just ask because 3 of the 4 you listed are more expensive, and 2 of them look like cheaper clones, minus the fans and more money :(
