<div style="width: 500px; text-align: "left" align="left">At 7:00am CST Sunday, November 29th we will begin migrating servers in Chicago, IL off of the Speakeasy network and on to the network of our new service provider. We are taking this step in order to provide a faster and higher quality of service to you, our customers. During this migration servers that are currently hosted in the Chicago facility will experience downtimes between five and fifteen minutes while we physically move the hardware and attach the new uplinks. Once all of the hardware has been relocated and reattached, all of the servers will experience one more very brief interruption lasting approximately 30 seconds while we reconnect the network switch.
Please note that we will simply be physically moving hardware during this maintenance, thus there is no risk of data loss. However, once the servers are attached to our new uplink there will be new IP addresses! This is especially important for those that connect directly using IP addresses. Upon completion of the migration we will post the new IP addresses on the network status page. They can generally also be discovered by resolving the appropriate hostname. Please contact our support department if you require additional assistance regarding your hostname and/or IP address.
