What is you sniper stratergy

for sniping? number 1 rule is to find a spot that is long distance and camp, errr i mean guard the area from enemies. The longer the distance the better, by using a sniper you have accuracy and range on them and improve your chances of living.

Its hard to come up with general strategies, you need to tailor your style to the map you are playing and what side.

There are quite a few people in our servers who can take out snipers with AKs. Frustrating as it is, they're rather effective.

And sniping is a learned art, you just have to practice to get a feel for it and do what suits you. I prefer the *ahem* guarding from a long distance style, but running around and pretending your scout is a musket is fun too.

First reason Aks take out Snipers in our servers long distance is because AWPs are restricted (sad face). If AWPs were allowed 95% of the time no Aker would be able to beat a good awper long distance. Scout is rather ineffecient in competitive gameplay due to taking 2 body shots vs 1 Awp and the inability to do 100+ damage shots through doors/walls. I really do wish Awps were allowed as it is part of the game and those who complain about them usually just can't use them.

Now about sniping strategies.

Learn to love the following things: Your sniper, deagle, sound, radar, an d nades. Losing any of those puts you in a disadvantage vs. Riflers/Smgers/etc.

1: Pick a long distance spot where enemies come from/through. Stand in a spot where most of your body is not visible and where you can easily see the enemies come from. Usually pick spots where you canno be easily flanked.

2: Smokes and sound are your best friends.

3: Aim for the face when possible. Otherwise quick body shots. Do not stand still after you fire. Quickswitch between shots. Know how much ammo you have and when it's time to run away. Flash your enemies from around a corner throw a made and either run in with deagle or to a new spot.

4: Deagle is a snipers best friend if things get too close. Learn it and love it.

Highscool is the best map to snipe, long hallways, windows. Sniper paradise.

As for Dust, it's harder because only 3 areas are sniper-friendly.
