Sniper bug?

Alright so in the past month or so I've been back addicted to DoDs again. This time I come playing with Windows 7, as opposed to Ubuntu linux or Windows XP as I had played it in the past. I have a couple strange bugs, most of them graphical and most of them I can ignore, except one...

I've been using the sniper a lot more recently, probably because I wasn't really good at it before. Sometimes when scoped in, I'll line up a shot & fire and instead the scope undeploys. Seems like sometimes I can shoot 25 times in a row without it happening, and other times it happens back to back, or every other time I shoot. It's REALLY frustrating as I'll line up a shot, shoot, and undeploy & die. Anyone else experience this? I've done some searching on steam and haven't found anything similar. It doesn't happen with the bazooka or the MG.

i have windows 7 as well and have not knoticed this at all , ask killer debo maby about it i know he has 7 as well

I realized one other thing had changed, I had set cl_autorezoom 0 which really helped me move about easier as a sniper, but I set it back and still experiencing the same issues.

I use windows 7 ultimate, and I never had this problem before!

could you be unintentionally right clicking as you left click?

Check if you're really just unscoping, and not actually fireing.
I sometimes have a similar problem, the thing is it doesn't "unscope", it's actually just some lag/choke on the animation, so I actually fire a shot, it just doesnt seem like I did, as in, no sound and no loading animation.

Yeah it's definitely NOT firing a shot, and I'm NOT right clicking on accident. I've had people run up on my poisition and all I see is a body in my scope, easy kill, unscope, no kill but my own.

That was my first guess that I was twitching that finger somehow and unscoping myself, but I've been conscious about it and I am not unscoping on my own. I've done that while in the MG before too, see a target - undeploy. I can tell right away that I just twitched the wrong finger, i feel it. That's not the case with this.

I'm going to start another thread on steam forums. I've been trying to put down the MG and pick up different weapons more, I've always been good with the assault class but just recently I think I got decent with sniper, I could be better if it wasn't for this frustrated bug.
