i had this video card in my old rig with a third party 300watt psu in a dell and it was fine but the processor was really old in it like a p4 2. something so it sucked but you should be fine.
before i uninstall the drivers for my old nvidia card, would it be a problem or cause a conflict if i just left the drivers on my hard drive since this new card is a radeon?
i am a little nervous taking the drivers off cause i don't know where my original install disk is for the old card. the old card still runs the desktop ok but doesn't handle games anymore without dropping massive fps.
i was concerned in case i get the blue screen of death after install that if i remove my old drivers i won't be able to find them again or to be able to access the internet to redownload them.
thanks in advance for any helpful advise. i wanna get this thing up and running so i can get back to killing demomen (it's war you know!)
come to find out, my network controller and ethernet card are nvidia so i just deleted the drivers to connect to the internet! thank god my wife has her laptop at home and i had a memory stick so i could go to acer's website and download the chipset drivers for my computer.
yes. i am pants wearing on the head retarded when it comes to stuff like this...:facewall:
