my favorite class and weapon in ins depends a lot of the map (open/streetfight/....)
but in general this is my favorite class and weapon:

Marine: Sergeant: M4A1 Aimpoint
Insurgent: Militant: L1A1

what's yours? :P

to start it was to TOZ rifle, then i moved to the aimpoint (which i dislike now after the update) no i usually use the M4 normal, M16 for the usmc and for ins dragonof sniper rifle due to its stoping power and rate of fire or the L1A1 again for the same reasons. i still love the TOZ just dont use it as much due to limited range (saying that i did snipe pimp in the head with it from about 100 meters)

Actually, I prefer the marine shotty over the TOZ. I just find the sight lines up easier for me. However, my favorite weapon? That's a decision between the M9 and the Makarov. "But, wait! Aren't those the pistols?" Yes. So far my favorite thing to do is run around dust2 and kill people with pistols. Sure, the shotty is fun on that map, but it's too easy. The pistols make it a challenge and a lot more exciting when I actually get kill streaks. The problem, though, is that most classes only get two clips. That's, unfortunately, why I go for RPG or grenadier because the M203 gets a third clip and the RPG has FIVE!

Now, if I want to actually do well, I use the AK-74 or the M16. For some reason, the 74 seems flawless in my reactions. I think it has just the right amount of sight to work. The M16 on the other hand used to be my absolute least favorite weapon (it's actually why I started running around with pistols). But, what I've discovered is a single well-aimed burst will take someone down. It has very little recoil, so you don't have to take any of that into account. And, most importantly, when you can nail four people in a single room with an M16 between before they get a chance to react, you know that when you pull out the 74 people will cry.

For Marines, it's a toss-up between the M4 standard and the M16. M4, because I can be surprised and still hit someone, M16 because it's so accurate and has the power to drop anyone.

For Insurgents, I really, really like AK-74u. It's more accurate than the AK-47, more powerful, less recoil, better rate of fire. I just aim better with it than with anything else. Including sniper rifles.

Marines: I prefer the M4 AIMPOINT scope, I like this because I like to be a sniper, but I hate the close quarters disadvantages that snipers have in case they have to be called into CQ. I do like the standard m4 because less recoil, but I don't have a problem with that. The aimpoint just allows you to be a bad mamma jamma.

Insurgents: Hands down ak-74u all around a great weapon

p.s. Glad to see some threads popping up, came on here and thought to myself, I am going to start a thread about something if there isn't a new one today. Looks like the holidays are beginning to take it's toll on the gaming community ;-)

My Fav

The gun i enjoy the most has to be the SAW. The power it gives you, knowing that the 100 rounds you have are a helluva lot more that what the enemy has in those tiny peashooters gives you power. Plus its an all-around decent gun. (Getting Primarily the most kills in any map(if used correctly))

For Marines, I have really grown to love the M4, both standard and with the Aimpoint -- which is what I have been using lately. I don't mind the M16 and I will even use the SAW if the team really needs someone to just put rounds downrange.

For Insurgents, it's a toss up between the AK74u and the AK47, dependent on the map. I feel like I am able to engage long range targets better with the 47, although I have made some pretty decent long range shots with the 74u.

My favorite marine weapon is the M203, but i dont know what my favorite Insurgent weapon is.

Shotguns are long-ranged sniper rifles compared to those found in other games. I love 'em. I think I prefer the TOZ to the M1014, but I'll have to play them against one another more often to get a better feel for the advantages of both. Great fun to use. My best weapon is definitely the AKs-74u. In a game where two bullets almost guarantees death, the ability to let the lead wind blow is very useful (unlike weapons restricted to single shots or burst fire); it still manages to match, even surpass, the killing prowess of most other weapons when used practically (i.e., not spraying, taking one or two well-aimed shots). As for the Marines, I think I prefer the M4 aim point due to the aiming reticule, but I'd guess that I do better with the SAW or the M4 Vertical Grip, both of which manage recoil well and are easy to fire from the hip.
