So this morning I got woken up by the phone, and couldn't get back to sleep, so I decided, hey why not play some TF2? I booted up my computer and it gave that normal beep indicating that all (or so I thought) was good. Then I realized that nothing was displaying on my monitor, my first instinct as a newbie computer nerd was to unplug and replug the cables connecting from my graphics card to my monitor. That didn't work and I took a closer look at the situation: I own a Samsung SyncMaster 22 inch monitor, it turns on good and it seems to go into standby mode, so I thought that it was getting no signal. I switched over ot my HP 22 inch monitor, which also did not work. At this point I started getting worried... I replaced my current graphics card (NVIDIA 9800 GTX+) with my old one (ATI Radeon HD 3450), didn't work also. :crying: Super worried at this point, start removing and cleaning every piece of hardware possible, but no cigar. Of course the only thing I could do now was plug my cables into my onboard graphics, and wallah! It worked like charm, but of course the onboard graphics suxs (NVIDIA 7100 :glare
, can't game with that. Which leads me to believe that my one and only PCI-E slot is dead... is there anyway of fixing this or will I have to get new motherboard/computer? On a tight budge here lol. If you get this far, thanks for reading all of this, story-writting is in my blood
Hope you can help! Thanks!
