Can't play TF2, could not connect to steam error.

I don't understand what's happenning. Since this week, I couldn't play tf2 anymore. Everytime I launch tf2, it said that steam isn't connected so I couldn't join any server.

But in fact steam is connected to internet, I don't understand what is the problem.

I was having some of the same problems yesterday. I could not log into steam and the steam community was offline. I'm pretty sure they were doing an update or something that caused steam to go down for a bit.

crazyrockets, I can log into steam, I can chat to my friend and stuff like these but when it's time to play some tf2, I jump into the game and then when I try to join a server, it's said that I'm not connected to steam but it false, i'm connected! That why I really don't understand what's happen.

try deleting... sigh... is it client registry.blob? I don't know, its something like that that you delete that fixes lots of those problems. Don't delete client registry.blob until someone else confirms it though, I'm not 100% sure that that is the name of the file

That works too , its right in your program files/Steam folder, not in the TF2 folder. When you start up steam after that it should say 'updating' as it redownloads the file, after that it will hopefully start, it fixed a similar error for me . If that doesn't work I'll try to give you some more in depth help when I get home from school.

Can somebody help me, I'd like to play valve games again in my life =( ! Especially TF2 ! DOD:S is giving me the same message!
