BF Bad Company 2 PC Beta Discussion Thread

I would like to add that if you do pre-order from Gamestop Retail Store you do get a beta code. It is distributed either in-store or e-mail address if you provided one. If not you can always add it to your reservation account before hand. I say this because I work for the company and we have been pushing reserves on this game. One key point is because of the beta. We had and may still have codes for the PS3 beta. I know in the beginning before it started it was very limited but since then we have gotten plenty of codes at my store.

I understand that the Gamestop website explicitly states that it is online only so I will keep you update on what goes on in store.

I will update once we get the codes or if any new information is available.

I know where I'm going tomorrow... GAMESTOP! BTW! I have 2 copies coming to me that I've got coming one for me and one for my brother...but sadly his computer is pretty old and will not run the game.. so I was thinking of donating that spare copy to eGO(any one but duality and DEBO...lol) but we'll see don't quote me on it but when the time comes and if I still have it I will most likely be donating it to the cause!

Squad TDM looks amazing. Any game that's tactical like that gains my intrest, seems more "war" like. A lot more tactical than Modern Warfare 2..

Hmmm, I may have to try this on the computer, the first BC I did not like that much, way to run and gun and took 10000 bullets to kill someone. This looks like it has been highly polished comparatively speaking.

Yea the gameplay is like a 180 from the 1st Bad Company, much more BF2/MW2-esque when it comes to damage and gunplay.

I'm having a hard time between ordering from GameStop and waiting 3-5 days after release for it to get to me, but get the AKS-74, or just get it on Steam/EA Store and play instantly when it releases and no waiting xD

It is, they mentioned that all the pre-orderers would get the weapon at the beginning of release (along with the other stuff)

UPDATE: I went today to the store to get my Star Trek Beta key. No word on in store codes but I bet they will as my friend who has a paid fileplanet account has reserved his spot when they are given keys by EA. I expect if Gamestop Retail does not carry any keys by the end of next week then it is not good news for those of us who pre ordered there. I think I'll ask my friend for his since he is playing it on PS3 and not on the PC.

i really hope ea supports this game longer than they did bf2. it looks awesome but i am on the cusp of minimum system requirements.

here's to hoping for a mostly hack free game with patches and add ons in the in the future.

Hmmm might just have to preorder this game ASAP, the first bad company was meh, and it was only for the consoles. This one looks promising. Ima stop by gamestop today, see what's up.

ea still supports bf2, there was a new realease not too long ago that unlocked some previous maps for free that were previously only avail as expansion packs.
