For head shots it also helps to aim slightly above your mark.


Just spent the last few hours or so playing, aside from some noticeable lag spikes, it's looking fantastic so far.
 
I'm really loving this weapon reward system, too. It gives the player an incentive to keep on going. So far I've unlocked the entire Medic branch of Weapons and Gadgets (that are available in the beta). Probably will try for Recon, next.

Looks like the lag is starting to die down now. There still looks like there are a few issues that need to be ironed out but give DICE some time.
 
wow this game is simply amazing. The destructible environment is baller.
 
I just plaid the demo on the 360. It's pretty fun, though nearly identical to the first Bad Company.
 
its hard to get used to the bulletdrop / extrem recoil if you played mw2 alot..
but its cool

i hope for better grafix soon
 
Gotta say, I'm excited for the BC2 division, and for this game to come out.

Played it as much as I could last night, it was hectic, it was chaotic, it was buggy (they'll fix this before release, I know it,) but it was awesome. A lot like a modern BF1943 if that makes any sense. But overall, I cannot wait for release.

I've been playing the 360 demo AND the PC beta, I can not wait until the game's release! This game is a god send, for pc gamers ;) I made it up to 6th specialist yesterday, Ima keep playing today. On the 360 atm it's advertising that they are gonna have some down time today to fix some issues, DICE wastes no time.
 
FPS was fine, ping was not. Every single server I played (tried 8) had almost a 10 second delay in what happened. I literally shot a clip of my pistol into the back of another sniper, reloaded, shot another clip, was in the process of reloading again when he turned around and shot me.

I was 2 feet away shooting at a crouched person... :(
 
Game is very fun. Smooth playing until 5-6 players would get bunched together then I would get alittle lag. This game might take over all of my play time when it gets released.
 
That update has already been released:

"The RC2 contains the following fixes:

Front end:
Fixes server browser crashes. Server browser more resilient against corrupt online service data, and better support for large number of servers.
Several server browser ping issues resolved.

Windows XP stability:
Fixed crash on windows XP at end of round, exit game and display mode changes and.
Proper window style / mouse confinement when starting game maximized on XP .

Options dialog:
Mouse sensitivity setting gives more effect.
Mouse sensitivity loaded on game startup.

The update to RC2 will be 8.4Mb

(Steam users can update through Steam)"
 
Steam users will be getting the update via Steam

Non-Steam users: Go to C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Battlefield Bad Company 2 - BETA
Right click BFBC2BetaUpdater.exe and run as admin to update.
 
Auto updated for me too I think, because now the server listings work. I kind of like the matchmaking deal for now though, until we get up a server.
