Knifing is alot of fun too. But I think they need to turn off that homing knife thing and bring back the "Press Your Luck" knife of old.

On another note, I was in a one on one duel with someone, they emptied an entire clip at me and missed almost every shot. I killed him with a drill as he tried to reload :).

I read the reason why the textures look bad was that DICE reduce some stuff to keep the download just under 2gb.
 
Is anyone still having problems joining friends rooms? I saw that a few friends were playing but couldn't join. :(

Another Protip to add to Chocolate's: Hold your fire button after firing a shot with your sniper rifle to stay zoomed in and see if you hit your target or not...been killing lots of noobs with this strategy :P

I better not see any bashing/flaming or trouble making there, remember you're eGO don't be a punk. Help these people make this game the best they can, complaining or ranting in their forums will not help them.
 
Love the game for the short amount of time I played it, sadly, its on the same ports or w/e that my college network deprioritizes :(

4,000 ping is no way to play this lol
 
I must say after playing Hardcore mode, I will not play the regular mode! Hardcore is win!
 
Some of you should add me to your friends list. I believe the name you can find me with is Acefisher1. Or pm me your name and i'll add you. I just unlocked the last of the recon gear, and i'm working on the assault stuff now.
 
Oh its the truth and it rocks! No hud (meaning no map, no ammo count, no health count, nothing), no crosshairs, no spotting (at least nothing pops up), Increased damage, vehicles go down a little easier, m24 sniper is a 1 shot kill unless in the feet or something, and the list goes on and on.

Basically its the way the gameplay should feel but minus the HUD/Crosshairs.
 
Well, I went to my bro's college dorm yesterday & played it on his computer

I liked it a lot, but apparently there's a bug where if you equip the 4x ACOG scope on a rifle, it puts it on the assault rifle as well

when i launch the game it attempts to auto-update "newer version available" but is unable to do so then it asks "play old version", which it does fine, just wondering if anyone know what is wrong or happening? I have looked online for a patch but havent had any luck, any ideas?

When you next start BFBC2 you should get be prompted to update (Steam users can update through Steam). If you have trouble updating by running the game itself go to \Program Files\Electronic Arts\Battlefield Bad Company 2 - BETA and run BFBC2BetaUpdater.exe as Administrator.
