help with CS:S spray and crosshair

Well... I changed my spray to the one I want then I joined a game. when I'm in game and I spray my spray nothing shows up... So I go and check in options and its at the default one. Why is it doing that?? Also I change my crosshair and it keeps changing when I go to options and change something then i do apply ok and it makes it back to default. Also it changes when I change servers etc. Any help on how to make these permanent?

Your crosshair changes because you are clicking apply to the standard crosshair... Every time you click appy it will change.

What file format is your spray in? and in is in steamapps/username/counter-strike source/cstrike/materials/vgui/materials folder?

Format is: JPEG Image
Nope its on my desktop... It shows up then i press apply and ok but i go back and its at default. Should i put it in that folder???

you should yeah, and my css seemed to have problems with jpegs too, i can put it into vtf if needed, i know for sure that works

Ok the file isnt found but uh i go to VGUI there is no material folder in that folder

I just can't see my spray in-game i guess not but i can see other peoples and when i go to options its showing the spray the vtf one.

I picked the picture it shows it in the options so i do apply and ok then i look again to see if its there and it is. So i go in-game and it doesn't work just a transparent spray.

Its a setting in Multiplayer-> Advanced
