I'm getting a new laptop soon and I was wondering what are some good laptops that are fast and powerful for around 500 to 600. They don't need to be lightning fast just as fast as i can get for that amount of money. If possible Id like to get one that could play games decently for about that price too. But i highly doubt ill find one that plays games for that cheap. Anyways guys. Please link me to some good ones for around 500 to 600. Also if you guys could find one with an HDMI port that would be awesome. I would be able to plug in my PS3 to it and play my ps3 through my laptop. Thanks again guys.

I own a laptop thats slightly worse than that NVIDIA one, 2.1 Dual, 4GB DDR2 1033, and a GeForce 103M and i can play TF2 at mid around 50-60 fps

Do you HAVE to get a laptop? Desttops are soo much better.

Yes. Because I need one for college when I go. But i think the two that were posted are going to be a bit much. Anyone know of any good laptops that can handle multiple tasks at once without slowing down? For media and such other cool stuff?

Well i wont be using multiple media programs at once but i want one that can handle the demands of that, because the way i see it, if it can handle something like that it could handle me doing school work and me keeping track of a schedule and what not.

I got an asus x83vm-x1 at bestbuy the first week it was released a little over a year ago for 899.

Has a core2 duo p8400, 4 gigs of ram and a geforce 8600gs. For the price that laptop impressed the hell out of me. I've always been able to run source mods on it with super pleasant performance no problem. Plus just about anything else. That model in particular is well over a year old now but you might wanna see what type of deals you can find and do your research starting with Asus notebooks. They don't over charge and I can vouch for their quality. Alot of people swear by asus products.

Most HDMI ports on laptops are OUTPUT only.

For gaming in your price range, I would suggest the following two laptops, first ATi, second nVIDIA.

Good RAM, good size, numpad, 2.20ghz processors, dedicated graphics memory. You will be able to play most games on medium settings.

I may actually end up getting that ATI one iWhiskey. Saw a video demonstrating the power of the graphics card in that thing and it ran Moder Warfare 2 on what looked like high. couldnt really tell. Only thing im worried about with that one though is in the reviews people were saying they got the BSOD but with some quick updates it got better. Plus its an Asus like Guam said so it should be pretty good.
