 EDGEGAMERS CORPORATION WARDECED; SCORES VICTORY

Spirits are high as EdgeGamers do what EdgeGamers do best: punking punks and griefing griefers.

Less than 24 hours after the official start of the war with Murder Happens, EdgeGamers Corporation has already scored a decisive victory against their CEO. Murder Happens is a corporation renowned for their punks and griefers who made a terrible mistake by picking on EdgeGamers.

Combat erupted outside of the Sasoutikh Theology Council as the CEO of Murder Happens, Titus Veridus, attempted to tease members of the EdgeGamers Defense Fleet. The defense fleet consisted of EdgeGamers Corporation members Mopandbucket, Treasure Troll, Vlos Ktonos, Talthrus, and Blcknight454. Titus's tactic was to jump back and forth around the station evading our Defense Force. However, he eventually got aggressed and was therefore unable to dock. He was unable to escape due to a persistent warp scramble keeping him anchored to the spot. Webifiers and Disruptors locked him down tight,negating Titus's evasive maneuvers and targeting capabilities.

Mopandbucket laid the smack down on his Cynabal, a cruiser class ship, causing nearly 9,000 points of damage. Vlos Ktonos swooped in with the final blow, turning Titus's cruiser to a thin cloud of debris. Titus then attempted to escape to Gheth in his pod, but was tracked down by Treasure Troll who, with a carefully placed shot from his laser, eviscerated the CEO's paper-thin capsule. Titus lost a minimum of 250 million ISK in ship losses, not even counting any implant losses.

This is but the first skirmish among what should be quite a few. Spirits soared after the rousing victory against the enemy CEO. EdgeGamers will emerge victorious, as we always have in our never-ending fight against punks and griefers.

Wow, what a great read. Sounds like EVE is a lot of fun. I would join in, however, being a high school kid, I have a lack of $15 a month. Congratz on the victory however!

Really? You mean $30 for 60 days I hope, it was $12 a month for a 6 month package when I played, putting it at $15 a month normally... Please tell me it's still $15 at most. :scared:
 
Yep, $15 a month (with discounts for getting multi-month subscriptions, just like any other MMO). The really nice thing about the game -- you don't have to buy the software (free download from the website; the free trial is the game, you just are limited on what you can train (mostly stuff you couldn't use in 14 days anyway)) in order to play, and everyone is on the same "server" when you play. Its a 23/7 game world (one hour of downtime per day, I forget when as its been awhile since I last played), were you can literally play with/against people from all over the planet (I've seen chinese, korean, japanese, russian, german, french, and spanish players, to name those i can remember off hand).

Be warned, the EVE Learning Curve (google it, and look for images ;0) isn't that far from the truth, but its definitely a "Simple to Learn, Hard to Master" kind of game. And its about the most open 'sandbox' game I've ever played (hint: even "safe" space, aka Empire Space, isn't completely safe from PvP even if you aren't at war).

And I'm with the others that have posted it: damn, this write up makes me want to play again. Too bad I don't have the time for any MMOs right now.

Theres always time for skill training, which is another good thing about eve, even though your not 'playing' your still gaining experience = Skill points. :)
 
Hell, if you guys want a real fight... I'm sure I can convince my Merc. Corp to swing by and play with you! ~insert evil cackling here~.

Nah, you guys are doing great. But if you ever get in over your heads and need help, look me up in Noir. and we can hammer a contract together. We also do training contracts and the like.

Awesome - It would be nice for us edgegamers people to gang up with some experienced people to go have fun with, lets talk in eve later :)
 
Well, thanks to this, im dying to play this game.
Im going to download the trial and enjoy it for 14 days.
However im not im possession of a magic card that allows me to play for longer.
 
Man alright i just bought Mass Effect 2 and im caught upn in space killing!

Quick questions before i try out EVE:

1.Can i join the eGO corporation right away or do i have to level up all the way first?
2. Do i have to join a specific class/species/faction to be able to join the eGO corporation?
3. Any DoD friends who i know play this game and will let me pester them with questions?

1. Yes, you can join the corp asap.
2. There are 4 races you can choose from.
3. We are all friends here at eGO, you can join us in the eve online channel if you wish, and ask all the questions you want.

Aww i miss when i played EVE with GardenGrove and KamikazeTommy. Sadly i have no way of paying for the game so i cant play anymore. But if you havent played EVE Online yet DO IT! Its lots of fun once you lear what to do.

p.s. Gardengrove, I'm sorry I swear I'll come back to EVE after my torrid love affair with MW2 and ME2!

Woo, grats to you guys!

Also I dunno if we have one but we really should get a public chat channel so people who are part of eGO but not in the eGO corp have a way of talking to them :D
