HitBeep in TF2?

yeah i guess it would.. i never mess with any of those class-specific files personally.. but the incrementvar command can be used in conjunction with any other console command, with the following format

incrementvar "command x y z"

replace command with whatever console command you wish to bind multiple values for, set the x y z values as follows:

x= start value
y= end value
z= increment value

So, let's say you wanted to cycle through 4 different volumes for that dingaling sound at 25% increments, you would bind the key like this:

bind J "incrementvar tf_dingalingaling 0 1 0.25"

It will then cycle through the values in order: 0 > 0.25 > 0.5 > 0.75 > 1 > 0 > ..... and so on, repeating

i love the damage numbers...much beter imo

I just use both. The hit ding helps when it's too hectic to start staring at numbers to make sure I'm hitting and the numbers so I know if I'm doing enough damage to run in for a kill.

There was a thread made not too long ago by Beta that had a link to a website that had custom hitBeep or ding sounds. Can anyone link me that thread?

I use a Quake 3 hitbeep sound. :3
