Ok i just thought of something, if my friend plays a game live on xBox can i join his online game from my PC

Nope.

I think they made one game that could cross platform, but PC players absolutely dominated it.

HAH nice signature mate! i don't know of any!

lol glad you like xD, that's what happens when a winter storm rolls in and you cant hang with the friends and you get extremely board and you just happen to notice you have a web-cam while you were in messenger xDDD

an d that sucks that you cant play with frinds on different systems

I've always wondered if they would ever do this. Would be a good idea but then again you would see a lot more hackers etc.

Shadowrun

Yep.

The basic concept was that the PC players would hook up through "Games for Windows Live" and play against the 360 players. Of course Shadowrun sold horribly and "Games for Windows Live" was far from successful.

So the whole concept fell apart and no one has tried it since.

i mean it would be a great idea tho but as stated before the xBox would have to have a insane auto aim, witch is true lol us Pc gamers are insainly quick with our mouses xDD

Well according to wikipedia the implemented this for Shadowrun:

Because of the lack of 'pixel-accuracy' with the Xbox 360 analog thumbstick, the designers have included an aim-assisting technology, which basically interpolates the player's movement and causes the reticle to stay over an enemy player like a weak magnet. In addition, FASA has implemented a feature which causes the cross-hair to expand during quick movements, thus lowering the player's accuracy, making it impossible to quickly turn and maintain accuracy, reducing the potential advantage of playing with a mouse. PC players, who have a more sensitive control scheme, are able to turn significantly faster than their controller-using counterparts and would have gained an unfair advantage.

yea true but it would be unfair for them but not us xDD

but realistically i highly doubt that they would allow pc-xbox to play together. but another thing is what about PS3 and xBox could they use the same server?

The PS3 and 360 thing wont happen. They're running on separate networks. The PC and 360 worked because of "Games for Windows Live" connected the PC to the Xbox Live network.

oh ok i get it now. i be a bit slow xD

but yea its sad that it wouldnt be very efective for xbox - pc to reeally take off that well

Besides Shadowrun, there's Universe At War and Lost Planet: Extreme Condition.

One word review of all three: FAIL

I wouldn't want to play with the immature Xbox players anyways.

And auto-aim a slight magnet? On Halo 3 it basically plays the game for you.

On Xbox (and mostly on PS3) mic user = mic spammer. Or a 9 year old who decides to "sing" Ride of the Valkyries. Yea, it was pretty epic shootin militia while listening to a kiddie "sing" Ride of the Valkyries.

Anywho, console and PC crossovers would maybe work on co-op games. There the players would work together anyways, so it doesnt matter if the PC guy was a bit faster.

So ur saying there WAS a chance to dominate xbox360 players from your pc ? :(

Yup. There was. But the game sold horribly. You can get it on Amazon for like 2 bucks now, and plus it was only DX10 and around the release of Vista so hardly anyone had it for pc.
