High OC capability sounds nice. If that true, then an overclocked GTX 480 will be able to match an ATI 5970 possibly.

It's hard to say, you'd have to check out benchmarks, Radeon technology is better for some games and Nvidia for others. I would choose Nvidia over Radeon for the quality and i currently have a GTX 260 216, fantastic card.

Radeon cards are the best when it concerns price to performance, Nvidia just cant compete. I've always had Radeon cards but i recently switched to Nvidia and i love it.

Both are really good, just depends on what kinda games you play.:facewall:

epic.......i may jump on 2 4850x2 for $150 each or $160 each if the offer is accepted.

Im sure 2x4850x2 will be enough to play any games at 1680x1050 for a long time except for Crysis..........

Their naming is meant to confuse people. The folks that don't know any better that will buy another refresh of a refresh. Like the GT350 or something that is just another name for a GT 250 mobile part.

I've owned nVidia parts and loved them, I hate their naming of cards. Just pass off another refresh for a higher price sucks though.
