Can't connect

Hi,
When I try to join the avalanche server, I get the following.

Disconnect: Server uses different class tables.

I'm at work and haven't seen an update, but I'm assuming the DODS client updated before the server did. When an update's released the server has to change maps or restart (changing the map will update and restart the server) in order to apply the patch and it looks like it hasn't done that yet.

In other words, probably not your fault, but that is why I choose to manually update the game files (under Options for the game) so that if everybody else updates automatically and the server doesn't I can just go chill in the server by myself!

Steam pushed an update out to TF2, and I think they updated something with the source engine and the servers are not running the same.

i found that out about 30 minutes ago and it was a silent update by steam god i hate them and there idiotic ways but it should be back soon. just bear with them and there slowness.

Yep small incremental update fail. I had the EXACT same problem. So i took the "smart" way and restarted steam .. like any1 should do after an update.

haha WRONG.. tried logging into flash or anything and i get a Crash to Desktop

Where is this Under Options for the game located exactly?

In the My Games tab of the Steam client, right click the game, hit Properties, then hit the Update tab and select "Do not automatically update this game"

I was getting it as well after the update. I just restarted steam and everything went well again. =]

its because of the hd mod it removes the rocket class from ur folder

?? that really doesn't have to do with anything related to this thread. The server's are back up now, this problem has been resolved..
